They later moved to Detroit, Michigan when she was about 5 years old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Aaliyah<\/strong> was a beautiful person, singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, and model. Her career started pretty early on in life. Her mother, Diane was a vocalist, and her uncle, Barry  Hankerson, an entertainment lawyer married to singer, Gladys Knight. It peaked at #18 on The Billboard charts, with 3 million copies sold in the United States. discographies(Including <strong>Aaliyah<\/strong>&#8216;s) on physical, digital, and streaming services in a deal between the record label and Empire Distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aaliyah&#8217;s estate, run by her mother, Diane, and brother Rashad, issued a statement acquiring Blackground&#8217;s announcement, denouncing an <em>&#8220;unscrupulous endeavor to release Aaliyah&#8217;s music without any transparency or full accounting to the estate&#8221;
